Job description

This is a free course and travel bursaries are available if required.

As a student of the Film Academy, you will have the opportunity to:

- Learn new skills & make a short film
- Meet and learn from industry professionals
- Gain support with your career progression

Who can apply? Any young person (16-25 with an EHCP), who is passionate about watching films, filmmaking or storytelling or looking for a career in the film or creative industry.

If you have already completed a BFI Film Academy or you are studying at University, unfortunately, you are not able to apply. Students on Further Education courses or Sixth Form are eligible.

Course Dates 2025 -2026

Saturday 18th October 11am – 4pm
Sunday 19th October London trip
Oct half-term week – Monday 27th Oct to Friday 31st Oct – Times: 10am-5pm
Saturday 8th November: 11am – 4pm
Sunday 18th January 2025 : London Screening Event
