Location: South London

Contract Length: Initial 4-month contract (potential for extension)
Salary/Rate: Circa £52/hr

Buckingham Futures have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer (Food & Safety) to join a local authority in East London. This role is to start ASAP on an initial 4-months contract, with a strong potential for extension.
We’re keen to hear from Environmental Health professionals with strong Food & Safety experience. If you have an interest in either area, the client is open to considering splitting the role accordingly.

Responsibilities:

Food Safety
As anEnvironmentalHealthOfficer, you will play a key role in safeguarding publichealthby leading food hygiene and safety inspections, managing service requests, and undertaking both proactive and reactive investigations. You will be responsible for responding to routine enquiries, carrying out complex inspections of high-risk food businesses, and ensuring full compliance with food safety and workplacehealthlegislation.

Requirements:

  • Be competent in the Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4)
  • Have completed a minimum of 10 hours of Food Core CPD in line with the most recent Food Law Code of Practice and Practice Guidance
  • Be registered with EHORB/EHRB (or hold an equivalent qualification)
