Role Overview:
- Lead delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants (a comprehensive and current knowledge of the process is essential).
- Investigate and manage housing condition complaints in the private sector.
- Conduct Housing Health and Safety Rating System assessments and carry out enforcement where necessary.
- Work closely with contractors, partner agencies, and internal teams to deliver high-quality housing services.
- Contribute to wider private sector housing responsibilities as required.
Working Pattern:
- Hybrid role with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in a Private Sector Housing Officer role within a local authority.
- Up-to-date practical knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants.
- Experience in housing health and safety assessments.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification is desirable.
