(BF4870) – Environmental Health Officer – Food & Safety – Surrey

Location: Surrey

Contract Length: Permanent Full Time
Salary: £46,000-£53,000

We’re currently working with a local authority client based inSurrey, whos looking to recruit an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) or Higher Certificate Technical Officer on a permanent basis.
This role involves undertaking the full range of Food Safety and Health & Safety enforcement casework, with a focus on ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Act and/or the Health and Safety at Work Act. The successful candidate will be expected to manage complex investigations and correspondence, working to strict deadlines while helping the council meet its service delivery targets and regulatory objectives.

Essential Requirements:

  • A baseline qualification, such as the Higher Certificate in Food Control or an Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Registration with the EHORB/EHRB (or equivalent professional body).
  • The ability to demonstrate competencies in Cluster 4 – Inspection of Food Establishments, as set out in the current Food Law Code of Practice and Practice Guidance.
  • A minimum of 20 hours Food Core CPD as required under the latest professional standards.

Before the contract can commence, Buckingham Futures must hold copies of the following documentation on file:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • CPD certificates
  • Registration certificates (EHORB/EHRB or equivalent)
