Job description

Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner - Bexley Home Treatment Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to manage and lead the Bexley Home Treatment Team. This role is ideal for an individual with proven management potential and a desire to influence clinical practice and service development within the crisis mental health pathway.

  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Manage the day-to-day operations of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care.
  3. Support the team in demonstrating advanced clinical assessment and risk management skills.
  4. Ensure adherence to Oxleas clinical policies and procedures.
  5. Facilitate effective clinical communication within the team and with other services, including external agencies.
  6. Maintain continuous communication with the Borough Crisis Teams Manager, promptly addressing concerns.
  7. Ensure clients receive high-quality information about their mental and physical health and available services.
  8. Oversee the maintenance of high-quality clinical records and activity logs.
  9. Ensure compliance with Professional Codes of Conduct within the team.
  10. Lead the implementation of evidence-based practices and participate in audit and research activities.
  11. Provide leadership in clinical practice and service development within the crisis mental health pathway.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Registered Mental Health Practitioner with recent experience in acute and crisis mental health settings.
  2. Some team management experience is desirable.
  3. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
  4. Strong knowledge of mental illness and therapeutic interventions.
  5. Competent in independent mental health assessments.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
