Job summary

AWD online is seeking an experienced Early Years Programme Coordinator to support Best Start Family Hub networks across the county. You will coordinate hub and network activity, work with schools and partner agencies, and provide guidance on home learning, parenting support, inclusion and early identification of need.

The role focuses on developing networks, sharing best practice and delivering training to providers, with duties including reporting and continuous improvement across sites.

Qualifications

• Recent, sound experience within the Early Years field, including working across more than one setting or school.
• Qualified Teacher Status, Early Years Professional Status or Early Years Teacher Status.
• Teaching degree or equivalent with a specialism in Early Years at Level 6.
• Experience of leading, supporting and motivating others in a busy environment.
• Experience of working in partnership with parents, services, agencies and other professionals.
• Ability to speak fluent English to communicate with clients and the public.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collect, collate and analyse information, prepare reports and support quality assurance.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and networks across agencies.
• Ability to introduce new initiatives and implement them.
• Knowledge of national policy for Family Hubs.
• Ability to promote inclusion across hub and network sites.
• Ability to plan and deliver training and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Family Hub Coordination: Lead and coordinate Best Start Family Hub network activity across a designated area of the county.
• Local Plan Delivery: Support the implementation, review and reporting of the Best Start in Life local plan.
• Partnership Working: Work with schools, Early Years settings, Family Hubs, partner agencies and providers to promote joined-up support for children and families.
• Advice and Guidance: Provide practical support on Best Start priorities, including home learning, parenting support, inclusion and early identification of need.
• Network Development: Develop professional networks, share best practice and support continuous improvement across hub and network sites.
• Training Support: Plan, develop and deliver training to support providers in implementing Best Start Family Hub priorities.
• Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare reports on progress, impact and effectiveness, using information to inform service development.
• Quality Standards: Support Family Hubs to meet quality standards and maintain continuous improvement.
