Job Description:

Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and technically proficient BESS Project Manager to lead Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. This role involves managing all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver utility-scale BESS EPC projects from inception to commissioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Oversee grid interface design, commissioning protocols, and system performance testing.
• Monitor and manage project timelines, costs, and deliverables.
• Manage risk mitigation strategies and ensure HSE compliance.
• Serve as the key point of contact for clients and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience managing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in the UK or similar regions.
• Strong technical understanding of BESS integration, controls, and UK grid codes.
• Experience with high-voltage infrastructure, commissioning protocols, and battery technologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams with clarity and purpose.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Right to work in the UK without restrictions.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
