About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Underwriter to join our High Net Worth Underwriting team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for the role to become permanent. The focus will be on our Bespoke home insurance product, building and maintaining relationships with NFU Mutual Agents, and providing technical support on renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business.

As a Bespoke Underwriter, you will underwrite risks aligned with NFU Mutual's risk appetite and collaborate with teams across sales, underwriting, loss control, and the agency network to deliver excellent service.

NFU Mutual provides a comprehensive induction and tailored training to support your career growth, including developing your High Net Worth underwriting and market knowledge.

This role offers a 35-hour workweek, with shifts between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, and no weekends. The hybrid model allows up to 80% remote work.

About you

We seek a customer-focused underwriting professional with experience in home underwriting. High Net Worth expertise is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided. Ideally, you hold or are working towards intermediate underwriting authority.

You should be proactive, solutions-oriented, and customer-centric, with excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities. The role requires effective stakeholder management, teamwork, coaching, and resilience.
