Job summary

Oakwrights Ltd is seeking a Site Carpenter to join our team across the UK, with occasional workshop days in Hereford. You will install and finish glazing interfaces on face-glazed oak frames, delivering high-quality finishes on bespoke timber structures.

The role requires NVQ Level 2/3 in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery, strong hand-tool skills, the ability to read drawings, and a full UK driving licence. You will contribute to oak-framed homes and gain advanced framing experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery or equivalent experience.
• Excellent hand-tool skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read drawings and set out accurately.
• Comfortable working at height.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain one).
• Desirable: Oak framing experience, timber frame construction, structural glazing or curtain walling, CAD/sketch-detailing, IPAF.

Responsibilities

• Install and finish glazing interfaces on face-glazed oak frames.
• Measure, set out and install oak capping boards, trims and cover strips.
• Prepare frames for glazing and ensure installation to exacting standards.
• Fit weatherproofing, drainage and sealing systems.
• Collaborate with team to maintain showroom-standard finishes.
