Job summary

Quest Joinery, a Hemel Hempstead-based bespoke joinery specialist, seeks a skilled CAD Technician/CNC Programmer for its commercial team. You will create detailed drawings, develop CNC programs and generate production documentation to support projects from £10,000 to £5 million.

The role demands experience in joinery environments, strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Travel for site surveys and client meetings is expected across London.

Qualifications

• Experience producing detailed technical drawings and CNC programs in joinery or woodworking
• Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials and tolerances
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to produce precise technical documentation
• Strong communication and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Willingness to travel for site surveys/meetings, mainly across London

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, 3D models and technical information for production
• Generate CNC programs using WoodWOP 8, SWoodCAM or similar
• Prepare cutting lists, hardware schedules and production documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, production teams and machine operators
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and maintain safety and quality
