Ford & Stanley are partnering with a leading manufacturing client to recruit a skilled Fabricator for their facility in Hyde, near Manchester. The role focuses on bespoke fabrication from engineering drawings, primarily mild steel up to 25mm, with a varied workload and opportunities for overtime.

The position offers a competitive salary of £38k-£44k depending on experience, 38.5 hours per week, with early finish on Fridays and overtime opportunities, in a stable engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with mild steel up to 25mm.
• Proficient with fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Fabricate and assemble bespoke steel components to customer requirements.
• Work with mild steel materials up to 25mm thick.
• Carry out forming and shaping operations using a variety of fabrication techniques.
• Operate workshop equipment including pyramid rollers, punch presses, radial arm drills.
• Tack components in preparation for welding.
• Perform dimensional and visual quality inspections.
• Work safely and efficiently to production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
