Funeral Service Crew

£12.40 per hour plus benefits. Part-time, 16 hours per week, varied shifts Monday-Friday 8am-8pm. You’ll also be part of the on-call rota to cover 1 in 4 weekends. Location: Taunton, TA2 7PW.

What you’ll do
  • Collect the deceased from various locations professionally and empathetically
  • Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles
  • Prepare coffins and engrave name plates
  • Prepare the deceased for viewings and funerals

  • The ability to react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances
  • The ability to perform manual lifting
