We’re working with a well-established charity delivering care and tailored support to individuals with life-limiting conditions. Their Supportive Care & Community Wellbeing team is key to providing emotional and practical support to patients, families, and carers throughout bereavement.

They’re looking for a Bereavement Support Officer to lead on the delivery and development of bereavement services across the region.

? As a Bereavement Support Officer, you will:

  • Coordinate and improve bereavement services across local boroughs
  • Recruit, supervise, and support trained volunteers
  • Build and maintain links with community and healthcare organisations
  • Monitor service data and report on outcomes to support continuous improvement
  • Deliver training sessions and identify development opportunities
  • Lead remembrance events and represent the service externally

  • Qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Experience supporting individuals and families in emotionally complex situations
  • Confidence working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Understanding of diverse communities and inclusive practice
  • Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
