East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Bereavement Midwife to provide continuity of care for women and families from pregnancy loss through subsequent pregnancies. You will act as an advocate in line with the Trust's We care values, ensuring personalised, holistic bereavement care in a supportive environment that promotes wellbeing for patients, families and staff.

We have co-produced a bereavement pathway that follows families throughout the bereavement pathway whilst also supporting staff to give personalised and holistic bereavement care

The role of the band 6 Bereavement Midwife is to provide continuity of care to women and their families who experience pregnancy loss through to a subsequent pregnancy. They will be an advocate for women and their families in accordance with the philosophy and standards of care within the area, ensuring that Trust values and beliefs are upheld.

The Bereavement midwife has a fundamental role in the delivery of high standards of bereavement and midwifery care, ensuring an environment that is conducive to wellbeing.
