Job summary

Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Bereavement Administrator/Specialist to provide sensitive support to families who have experienced the death of a baby or child. Based at BCH with responsibility to support the extended bereavement team.

You will coordinate bereavement care within the palliative and bereavement team, arrange viewings, and ensure mandatory documentation is completed under supervision.

Qualifications

• Provide sensitive and specialist support to families who have experienced the death of a baby or child.
• Coordinate bereavement care within the bereavement and palliative care team.
• Coordinate bereavement viewings and ensure completion of mandatory documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bereavement support to families in the bereavement suite and mortuary.
• Coordinate bereavement viewings and paperwork with the lead clinical team.
• Support the Bereavement Administrator and Support Worker under direct supervision.
• Work within the palliative care team to ensure compassionate care.
