Job description

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm)

Salary: £25,250 per year

Base: Colchester

Contract: Fixed term until end of June 2027

We are recruiting for the role of Bereaved By Suicide Support Worker to join our Bereaved by Suicide Service designed to support people across North East Essex and Suffolk who have been affected by the loss of someone through suicide.

As a Bereaved by Suicide Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide practical support tailored to individual’s needs, through one-to-one sessions
  • Help facilitating the peer support groups we offer to those who have been affected by the loss of someone through suicide
  • Help facilitating the grief programme support groups.

We are looking for experienced individuals who are committed to ensuring the provision of effective and person-centred support. Our ideal candidate will be respectful, honest and empathetic to others whilst being able to maintain boundaries.
