Title: Benefits Analyst

Location: Wakefield, MA

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

About the Role:

The Benefits Analyst role is responsible for managing and administering employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and will work to provide excellent customer service to employees regarding their benefits inquiries.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Primary point of contact for benefits administration and for all team member benefits inquiries, including enrollment and status changes.
  2. Ensure accurate benefits data in the HRIS system by coordinating with other HR Operations members and payroll to enter or revise data.
  3. Trouble-shoot and resolve issues that occur on vendor electronic feed files.
  4. Maintain benefits intranet page with up-to-date and accurate information.
  5. Work with Benefit brokers and other team members on creating and editing guides, presentations, open enrollment content, and other benefit related materials.
  6. Collaborate with the team on new benefit plan offerings, design, and communication of new initiatives and support the strategy, design, and implementation of programs.
  7. Assist with the administration of the 401(k) plan.
  8. Perform quarterly benefit enrollment audits.
  9. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits-related laws and regulations, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA and HIPAA.
What You’ll Bring:

  1. 2-3 years in an HR Operations/Generalist or Benefits role.
  2. Associate or bachelor’s degree; experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for education.
  3. Familiarity with basic employment law and benefit compliance.
  4. Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws. Understanding of leaves of absence is strongly preferred.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Resourceful, with strong ability to connect the dots around multiple benefits processes.
  7. Proven ability to independently execute projects with a strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  8. Proven customer service, organizational and team collaboration skills.
  9. Ability to manage multiple tasks, efficiently prioritize projects and embrace new challenges.
  10. Strong technology aptitude with excellent MS Office suite skills, especially Excel. HRIS systems knowledge of Kronos payroll products strongly preferred.
  11. Good judgement, problem solving and critical thinking.
  12. 3+ years disability management and/or FMLA administration experience and completion of certification or training on FMLA/leave administration preferred.
Connecticut Hiring Range:

$70,000—$84,000 USD
