Job Title: Bench Joiner
Location: Nottingham (NG9)
Hourly Rate: £16.00 – £17.00 (Higher rate available depending on experience)
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent or Contract
Start Date:Immediate Start Available

Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Bench Joiner to join our team in Nottingham (NG9). The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture of bespoke furniture for bars, restaurants, and reception areas, producing high-quality, made-to-measure joinery items from technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture of bespoke furniture including bar counters, reception desks, and cabinetry

  • Reading and working from technical drawings and cutting lists

  • Assembling and finishing items to a high standard using various joinery techniques

  • Working with a variety of timbers, boards, veneers, and laminates

  • Using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively

  • Ensuring quality control at every stage of production

  • Working independently or as part of a small workshop team

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a bench joiner or cabinet maker

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and workshop plans

  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship

  • Confident using hand tools, saws, routers, sanders, and other machinery

  • Good communication skills and a proactive work ethic

  • Relevant qualifications in carpentry/joinery (preferred but not essential)
