Rate: £29.47ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £22.00ph PAYE

Job Description

Manufacturing Industrial Optimization Engineering focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., plant location, personnel work flow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.) including:

• Establishing methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
• Conducting cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
• Assisting manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design

Responsibilities

• Managing projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision.
• Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
• Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
• Typical Title: Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Methods & Systems Engineer

Skills Required:

• Problem solving
• Manufacturing process knowledge
• HV Battery knowledge

Experience Required:

• Relevant OR previous experience of Launch in Manufacturing; working knowledge of quality tools and processes.
• An individual, who works independently, is results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.
• Embracing differences, being empathetic, welcoming challenges together empowering each other to deliver.
• Strong people skills and the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team

Experience Preferred:

• Preferred degree qualified in relevant engineering subject
• A knowledge of battery systems and design
• Knowledge of PCDS framework
• Experience of AIMS & Issue management systems
• Experience/understanding Agile methodology
