A healthcare organization in Northern Ireland is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Occupational Medicine to join a multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will provide high standards of support to employees and external customers within the Occupational Health Department. Responsibilities include working under the supervision of a consultant and undertaking necessary training for further qualifications. This position offers the chance to impact the health services delivery to the local community.
SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE (2 X POST’S AVAILABLE – 1 X 10PA & 1 X 5PA)

Occupational Health Service
The Occupational Health Service forms part of the Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate.
The Occupational Health Service is ISO and SEQOHS accredited and also benchmark with MOHAWK. It comprises a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, a sessional psychiatrist, physiotherapists and administrative staff operate the in-house service, based at McKinney House, Musgrave Park Hospital. The department has a suite of clinical and consulting rooms. It operates an eOPAS web based occupational health record system. The Human Resource and Health & Safety teams are also based in McKinney House providing easy access and close working.
The Belfast Trust OH service also provide a service to Queens University, the Northern Ireland Ambulance service and a number of other organisations.
Job Summary/Main Purpose:
The successful applicant will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary occupational health team providing a high standard of support and advice to employees / managers and a number of external customers presenting to the occupational health department. The post holder will work under the supervision of the consultant in occupational medicine. The post holder will be supported in undertaking prospective certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR), distance-learning course for the Diploma, Advanced Diploma and MSc in Occupational Medicine.
