Behavioural Support Aide - Newbury

This specialist setting is looking for a Behavioural Support Aide to join their dedicated team ASAP on a full-time, term-time basis.

The school provides a safe and structured environment where students are supported to re-engage with education, develop positive behaviours, and build brighter futures. As a Behavioural Support Aide, you'll play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, build self-confidence, and succeed in their learning.

Key Information for a Behavioural Support Aide:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Monday to Friday, term-time only)
  • Pay: 85- 100 per day (depending on experience)
  • Location: Newbury

What you'll do as a Behavioural Support Aide:

  • Support students 1:1 and in small groups to manage their behaviour and access learning
  • Help deliver tailored lesson plans that meet individual needs
  • Create a calm, consistent, and positive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each student's progress
  • Act as a positive role model, encouraging emotional resilience and social skills

The role of Behavioural Support Aide is ideal for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for helping students with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Is patient, empathetic, and able to build trust and rapport with young people
  • Has a Grade C/Level 4 or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Has experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
