Job summary

Monarch Education in Leicester is seeking a passionate Behavioural Pastoral Manager to support students and create a positive learning environment across the school. You will lead behaviour strategies, deliver pastoral support, and work with parents to develop effective plans.

You will collaborate with staff to ensure consistent practices, monitor student behaviour data, and contribute to safeguarding and well-being initiatives while delivering training and promoting an inclusive climate for all

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing behaviour in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and adolescent psychology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents/carers.
  • Experience developing and implementing behaviour management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement effective behaviour management strategies across the school.
  • Provide high-quality pastoral support to students, including counselling and interventions.
  • Work with parents/carers to address behavioural concerns and develop support plans.
  • Build strong relationships with staff to ensure consistent practices.
  • Monitor and analyse student behaviour data to inform interventions.
  • Develop and deliver staff training on behaviour management strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school climate, valuing all students.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and well-being strategies.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behavioural Pastoral Manager to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will play a key part in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement effective behaviour management strategies across the school.
  • Provide high-quality pastoral support to students, including individual counselling, group work, and interventions.
  • Work closely with parents/carers to address behavioural concerns and develop support plans.
  • Build strong relationships with staff to ensure consistent and effective behaviour management practices.
  • Monitor and analyse student behaviour data to identify trends and inform interventions.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff on behaviour management strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school climate where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Contribute to the school's overall safeguarding and well-being strategy.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in managing behaviour in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and adolescent psychology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Experience of developing and implementing behaviour management policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
  • High levels of empathy, patience, and resilience.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience of working with students with special educational needs.
  • Qualification in counselling or related field.
  • Experience of using data to inform practice.
  • Experience of leading and managing a team.
