Overview

New Woodlands is a Special School in Lewisham for students (5-16 years) with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Special Educational Needs (SEND) and/or challenging behaviour. We cater for students aged 5-16 years and are looking for an outstanding Behavioural Assistant. All candidates must have experience working with pupils with SEMH/SEND. Role Details

Behavioural Assistant

• TTO = 39 weeks
• 33.75 hours per week, 08:30-16:00

Requirements and Employment Conditions

• Error-free literacy and numeracy to GCSE level.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH/SEND.
• DBS check will be undertaken; safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people are requirements.
• Original evidence of right to work in the United Kingdom (National Insurance Number, Work Permits or Indefinite Leave to Remain) will be required prior to commencement.
• We are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; the successful candidate will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS, as well as qualifications and reference checks.
