A Specialist School Provision for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs is seeking a Behaviour Therapy Assistant to join their support team. As a Behaviour Therapy Assistant, you will help encourage students to make positive and safe choices, and help them engage in positive behaviours.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support pupils exhibiting challenging or anti-social behaviours, as a result of a diagnosed social, emotional or mental health need.
  2. Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver re-engagement techniques in the classroom.
  3. Provide emotional support to at-risk children, helping them navigate their challenges.
  4. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage emotional resilience and academic growth.
  5. Work with an empathetic and positive attitude.

By becoming a Behaviour Therapy Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable children facing mental health and behaviour challenges.
