Behaviour Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Chepstow
Location: Chepstow, Monmouthshire
Salary: £89.38 per day (paid via PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for a permanent role)

Are you passionate about helping young people thrive, even when they face challenges? A forward-thinking secondary school in Chepstow is seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team, working with students who need guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement to succeed in school.

Your Role Will Involve:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural difficulties
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience through consistent routines and relationship-building
Acting as a positive role model and mentor, helping pupils re-engage with learning
Supporting behaviour-focused interventions and classroom inclusion strategies
Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams to promote a calm and nurturing school environment

Has experience supporting young people with behavioural needs (in education, youth work, care, or sports)
Is calm under pressure, patient, and empathetic
Communicates effectively and can build trust with students
Has (or is willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Is EWC registered (we can help you with this)
