Academics in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join the team as soon as possible. You will work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who may have SEMH needs or behavioural challenges, helping them engage with learning and develop emotional regulation. Qualifications
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
Patience, resilience and genuine passion for helping young people are essential.
Experience in education, SEN, youth work, sports, care or behavioural support is welcome.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and additional needs.
Assist pupils to manage emotions and regulate behaviour.
Support learning activities and help pupils engage with classroom routines.
Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff and other professionals to maintain a positive environment.
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, independence and social skills.
