Qualifications

• Knowledge of the statutory requirements of equal opportunities, discrimination, health and safety, SEN & safeguarding.
• High expectations of students' behaviour with strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
• Experience working with children with EAL, SEN, or other complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEMH needs in a school environment.
• Work alongside the teacher to implement teaching activities.
• Build rapport with students, parents, and staff.

Skills

Knowledge of statutory requirements

High expectations of students' behaviour

Ability to motivate children

Ability to work independently

Effective behaviour management strategies

Experience with EAL, SEN, and complex needs

Relationship building with internal and external contacts
