Responsibilities:

  • Support children with social, emotional, and mental health issues in a Pupil Referral Unit.
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff through excellent communication.
  • Encourage, motivate, and support students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Practice de-escalation and calming techniques, maintaining an empathetic approach.
  • Support students' development towards independence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs.
  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Able to support children of all abilities.
  • Positive attitude towards learning and supporting student development.
  • Backgrounds in care, sports, psychology, criminology, sociology, or youth work are encouraged to apply.
