Essential Requirements
  • Good standard of education (5 x GCSEs — English and Maths C or above).
  • Valid enhanced DBS.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
Desirables
  • Have experience working with children (does not have to be within a school setting).
  • A relevant, recognised qualification such as the NVQ for Teaching Assistants or Qualified First Aider.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
  • Supporting the teaching staff to help implement the curriculum.
  • Under the supervision of the class teacher, undertake a range of directed activities to support the educational and development needs of pupils.
  • Assist in the evaluation of student progress while feeding this back to the teacher.
  • Assist teachers with the organisation and maintenance of the classroom resources.
