Join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Support Worker at a dynamic SEMH school in Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Experience the reward of supporting students with challenging behaviour in a specialist educational setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support students aged 5–16 with SEMH needs and associated challenging behaviours.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to implement tailored behaviour support strategies.
  • Promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement in learning.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support both in and out of the classroom.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Essential experience working with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour.
  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to student interaction.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Desirable Skills:

  • Training in Team Teach, PRICE, PMVA, or similar behaviour management approaches.
  • Background in youth work, care, or alternative provision.
