Job Overview

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEN school based in Bradford. This role may require working with a range of age groups (EYFS/ Early Years Foundation Stage/ KS1/ Key Stage 1/ KS2/ Key Stage 2/ KS3/ Key Stage 3/ KS4/ Key Stage 4).

Position: Behaviour Support Worker

The school is looking to take on a nurturing and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Worker. The successful candidate will be required to effectively help students self-regulate. All students attending the school have an EHCP in place. Behaviour Support Workers will engage with a wide array of SEN including ADHD, Autism, Downs syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Physical Intervention may be required, and the ideal candidate should have up-to-date Team Teach Training. This role is vital to re-engaging students with their learning and is very rewarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in self-regulation and emotional management.
  • Engage with students with various SEN needs.
  • Implement nurturing strategies to promote positive behavior.
Minimum Requirements

The Successful Behaviour Support Worker will have:

  • TA level 2 or above.
  • Ability to employ nurturing strategies.
