Academics in Devizes is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to support students with SEMH in a specialist education setting. This full-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £90-£105 per day and an ASAP start.

You will build trusted relationships, assist with learning needs, and help create a calm, safe learning environment while collaborating with teachers and staff.

Qualifications

  • Psychology graduate or studying towards a related degree.
  • Experience in youth work, support work, education or mentoring.
  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Confident, patient and resilient.
  • Able to build positive relationships with challenging or vulnerable young people.
  • Interested in SEMH and specialist education.

A specialist education setting in Devizes is looking for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. You'll be supporting students who may experience social, emotional and mental health needs, behavioural challenges and barriers to learning.

The Role - Behaviour Support Worker

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:



  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and act as a consistent source of support

  • Support young people with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs

  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning

  • Help students develop confidence, independence and positive coping strategies
