Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
  • Work closely with teachers, TAs, and pastoral teams to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and personal growth.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to regular reviews and reports.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or support setting is essential.
  • A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support, youth work, or special educational needs are advantageous.
Additional Requirements
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
