A fantastic Secondary SEN School in Abingdon is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. This role would suit graduates, aspiring teachers, those with experience working with young people, or anyone looking to build a career in education, behaviour support, and SEN.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students who may present with challenging or complex behaviour.
• Support small groups with activities in and outside the classroom.
• Work alongside teachers and SEN professionals to implement individual support plans.
• Support students with their learning, behaviour, emotional development, and wellbeing.
• Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and independence.
• Monitor, record, and report student progress and behaviour.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students and act as a consistent role model.
• Gain valuable hands-on experience within a specialist SEN setting.
• Develop practical skills in behaviour management, communication, and supporting young people.
• Excellent experience for Psychology and Criminology graduates considering careers in education, youth work, psychology, or related fields.
• Work alongside experienced teachers, behaviour specialists, and SEN professionals.
• Full-time position with an ASAP start.
• Previous SEN or behaviour support experience is beneficial but not essential.
