Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Reading

TA- Primary School in Reading

ASAP Start - Excellent Mainstream Primary Establishment

Responsibilities
  • 1:1 Support with SEN Child (Behaviour Support) in a mainstream environment
  • Work with a child in Year 3 with an EHCP; SEMH needs and a combination of physical and cognitive delay
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills to support the child with challenging behaviour
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and school staff to provide consistent, supportive teaching assistance
Requirements
  • Experience required in a similar setting, particularly with SEN/Autism
  • Ability to provide 1:1 support in a mainstream primary school
  • Enthusiasm, patience and commitment; the school will provide training and guidance
  • ASAP Start

Salary: 89-100 per day

The primary school is graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and has good transport links. The school are looking for someone to be consistent for this child and offer ongoing support. The successful Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant will be working closely with the SENCO so will be a great opportunity for you to learn from their experience and develop in your career.
