About the Role: Behaviour Support Worker

This fantastic school is looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team as soon as possible.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Support the class teacher with general class duties and assist in preparing lesson materials.
  2. Support students with their workload and address challenging behaviours, including helping them process and regulate emotions and supporting their mental health.
  3. Assist in de-escalating high emotions and promoting emotional regulation.
  4. Support students in small groups or on a 1-to-1 basis.
  5. Help create a safe and engaging learning environment where students can thrive and achieve their goals.
  6. Contribute to maintaining an organized classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Confidence and a positive, compassionate personality.
  • Proactive attitude with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to de-escalate heightened emotions.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Understanding of the importance of mental health support.
