About You
Our Allied Health team is seeking a passionate, flexible, and professional Behaviour Support Practitioner with therapeutic knowledge and experience. Candidates should have qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, or a relevant field, and experience developing, writing, and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs). Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Social Work Association is required.
The Role
The Behaviour Support Practitioner will develop, implement, and evaluate positive behaviour management plans, strategies, and recommendations to support individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern, aiming to reduce or eliminate restrictive practices. The role involves providing information, guidance, and training using evidence-based, person-centred approaches to help individuals achieve their personal goals while maintaining choice and control. Additionally, the practitioner will provide individual counselling and therapy across the lifespan.
