Position:Behaviour Support Practitioner

Location:Regional- travel essential. Overnight hotel stays essential.

Contract type:Full Time 40 hours

Rate: Up to £27,648 + £3,000 car allowance

Join us as our new Behaviour Support Practitioner

In this role, youll play a key role in supporting people who display behaviours of concern and the colleagues who care for them.

Youll develop, deliver and evaluate training programmes from both psychological and physical perspectives.

Youll also support our care home based colleagues to develop behaviour support plans, review behaviour records and role model effective management of behaviours of concern.

About The Role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner with Exemplar Health Care, youll provide training and visit our homes, to offer effective behaviour support based on peoples identified needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your training, coaching and positive behaviour support skills to make a real difference.

No two days will be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • assisting in the development, delivery and evaluation of training programmes
  • supporting our care homes to organise and delivery training to ensure company targets are met
  • using excellent presentation skills to present a range of new and unfamiliar concepts to staff at all levels, managing varying levels of understanding
  • measuring and evaluating learning outcomes to include how learning is embedded in practice
  • supporting clinical teams in reducing the frequency, severity and impact of violence and the use of restrictive interventions
  • providing support to colleagues around managing behaviour during difficult times, such as when someones mental health is deteriorating
  • reviewing incident statistics and evaluating incident reports in individual homes, providing support and additional training where required.
