Do you enjoy motivating children, building their confidence, and helping them re-engage with learning? We’re seeking a Pupil Engagement Mentor to support pupils in a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford. This role is all about encouraging positive behaviour, supporting emotional wellbeing, and making sure every child feels included and ready to learn.

You’ll work closely with children who need extra guidance to stay on track in the classroom. By offering patience, structure, and encouragement, you’ll help them succeed both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
  • Motivate children to take part in lessons and enjoy learning.
  • Encourage positive choices and resilience in and out of the classroom.
  • Help pupils develop social and emotional skills to build confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and support staff to put strategies in place.
