Job description

Behaviour Support Manager

An outstanding secondary school in Brent is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Manager to start in September 2025 on an ongoing assignment.

The school

This non-selective secondary school specializes in mathematics and citizenship and caters to students of all abilities. The school is committed to knowing each pupil as an individual and fostering team spirit, responsibility, and care for others. Its facilities include award-winning architecture, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, science and ICT labs, music, Design and Technology, art and drama studios, and a well-stocked 150 sqm library, along with modern classrooms.

Behaviour Support Manager role

The role involves supporting the internal exclusion unit and reflection room, ensuring students behave well, take responsibility, and engage with meaningful schoolwork. The manager will also support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and pastoral staff with behaviour support across the academy.

  • Support the academy's values and ethos by contributing to the development and implementation of policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Develop and support procedures and environments to make the Internal Exclusion unit a place of learning and reflection for pupils sent there.
  • Help maintain and establish pupil discipline across the academy.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the academy.
  • Display professionalism at all times, leading by example.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a pastoral or behaviour support role.
