ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant TA for an Ofsted "Good" school in Redbridge.

The school caters for students who are no longer in mainstream schools due to Social Emotional Mental Health needs and require an experienced behaviour mentor to ensure they remain on task within lessons. The school has a supportive senior leadership team and is going from strength to strength, providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance, the school would consider extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Redbridge
  • Position - Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Type of work - SEND 1:1 behaviour support
  • Contract or position start date - ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration - 2 terms until the end of the academic year (July 2025)
  • Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - (Apply online only) per week.
  • Hours - 08:20-15:30

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous SEND experience or youth work experience.
  • SEMH experience.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years.
