Salary Range: £95 - £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate

Can you help create calm, structured transitions and keep corridors clear and positive?

GSL Education are on the lookout for a confident Behaviour Support Assistant to join a vibrant school in Sheffield. This unique corridor-based role focuses on maintaining order and ensuring smooth student transitions between lessons. You will be an integral part of the behaviour support team, helping to create a safe and positive school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise student movement between lessons across corridors and communal areas.
  • Intervene and de-escalate low-level disruptions in a calm and assertive manner.
  • Support students with emotional regulation and promote respectful behaviour.
  • Report incidents and provide feedback to the Behaviour Lead and SLT.
  • Promote school rules and expectations to foster a consistent learning environment.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students and staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, especially in behaviour support or pastoral roles.
  • Calm, confident, and able to defuse challenging situations effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow safeguarding protocols.
  • Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
