Full Time Position

One of our partnership schools in the Treorchy area is currently looking to bring on a Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant to join its dynamic and efficient Behavioural department. The successful applicant will be supporting students with challenging behaviour in a mainstream school in KS3 and KS4, managing behaviours on a 1:1 and small intervention group basis. Interviews for this position will be held online over Microsoft Teams for the next 2 weeks.

What does a Behavioural Support Assistant do?

• Manage challenging behaviours of students in line with school policy
• Build a rapport with students & get to know them and why they exhibit such behaviours
• Work on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups with students
• Go through their pre-set schoolwork, assisting them with their understanding of tasks set
• Safeguard students & caring for their wellbeing
• Communicate and work within a team
• Take direction from line management
• Support students with their additional learning needs

What does a Behavioural Support Assistant require?

• Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects
• Enhanced DBS available on the update service
• Registration with the EWC
