Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and Humber | Type: Temporary | Salary: £90 - 120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEN school based in Leeds, committed to improving the quality of life for everyone in their school community. The school has been awarded a “GOOD” OFSTED rating and serves a range of age groups (EYFS/KS1/KS2/KS3/KS4).

The school is looking to take on a nurturing and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Worker. The successful candidate will help students self-regulate. All students have an EHCP in place. Behaviour Support Workers will engage with a wide array of SEN, including ADHD, Autism, Downs syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Physical Intervention may be required, so up-to-date Team Teach Training is essential. This role is vital for re-engaging students with their learning and is both exciting and rewarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in self-regulation and behavioral management.
  • Engage with students with various SEN needs.
  • Implement nurturing strategies to aid learning.

Minimum Requirements:

  • TA level 2 or above.
  • Ability to employ nurturing strategies.
