Got a knack for calming chaos and bringing out the best in children? We’re on the lookout for a brilliant Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team and support primary schools across Merton. This role is perfect if you’ve got patience, resilience, and a big heart—and you know how to guide children through tricky moments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with behaviour challenges in and out of the classroom
  • Helping children regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to build trust and structure
  • Collaborating with class teachers, SENCOs, and support teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children who have SEMH or behavioural needs
  • A calm, positive approach and clear communication
  • Someone who can think on their feet and adapt to different situations
  • Bonus points if you’re Thrive trained or have de-escalation experience (but don’t worry—we can help with that)
