A large, inclusive secondary school in Havering is seeking proactive and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistants to join their pastoral team asap. This role is ideal for individuals with experience supporting students with challenging behaviour or Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide crucial support across the school day. When students become disruptive or are struggling in class, you’ll be called to safely remove them from lessons, help them regulate their emotions, and support them in returning to learning as quickly as possible. Your calm, empathetic and consistent approach will play a key part in maintaining a positive learning environment across the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students in emotional regulation and de-escalation
