GSL Education are working with a Special Needs school in Launceston who are looking for an Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team!
The school caters for children and young adults aged 4-16 with complex learning needs. This includes those who have Autism, ADHD and present challenging behaviours.
You will help our students to be as independent as possible in their daily life, recognise and encourage them to thrive in all areas and help them learn vital life skills. Those who are successful in the role will assist children and young people with daily personal care needs including changing and toileting and dressing.
This school is on an incredible landscape within Hampshire, the school utilise their environment and do a lot of outdoor learning as well as having classrooms spread out over the forest area, a large vegetable patch and climbing frames.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for compassionate and patient Teaching Assistants to join the school on a full time, long term basis. We are looking for someone with an adaptable approach along with a great sense of humour and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
YOU MUST HAVE A UK DRIVING LICENSE AND YOUR OWN CAR FOR THIS ROLE.
THE ROLE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE BUSINESS INSURANCE – IF SUCCESSFUL AT INTERVIEW.
