We are currently recruiting a committed SEN Behaviour Support Assistant to join a high-needs school in Preston. This is a full-time position, initially offered on a temporary basis through our agency, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including SEMH, autism, ADHD, and behavioural difficulties
Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour strategies
Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering targeted interventions
Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs and challenging behaviour
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
Ability to work as part of a team
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
Position Details:
Location: Blackpool
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Start Date: Immediate or September start available
Pay: Competitive, paid weekly via agency
Contract: Temp to perm opportunity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
