Behaviour Specialists Wanted - Liverpool Secondary Schools

Location: Liverpool
Role: Behaviour Support Specialist
Start Date: Immediate and September starts available
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary to Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning? Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of mainstream secondary schools across Liverpool who are seeking Behaviour Specialists to join their teams and make a real impact in students' lives.

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will work closely with students who present challenging behaviour, social/emotional difficulties, or additional needs. Your role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support in and out of the classroom

  • Implementing behaviour intervention strategies

  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

  • Promoting a positive learning environment and emotional wellbeing

  • Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (in education, youth work, care, or similar settings)

  • A resilient, patient and empathetic approach

  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

  • A genuine desire to support and re-engage learners

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Team Teach, Psychology, Youth Work, Criminology) are desirable but not essential.
