Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally in a PRU or alternative provision.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

About the Role:

A Pupil Referral Unit in West Drayton is seeking an experienced and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion, supporting them 1:1 to manage challenging behaviour and re-engage with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 behaviour support and mentoring to pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

*

De-escalate challenging situations and implement positive behaviour strategies

*

Build trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and personal development

*

Work alongside teachers and support staff to create a safe, inclusive learning environment

*

Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans

Requirements:

*

Proven experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally in a PRU or alternative provision

Confident working 1:1 with pupils who present behavioural and emotional difficulties

Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience
